The HY-625's CNC controller incorporates many
years of spring making experience into its design-the
experience of both our customers and ourselves,
making a machine that is a powerful combination of
Japanese, British, Swiss, and American servo motors,
starters, and computer components. The CNC controller uses a 32-bit Industrial PC based system. Inside the PC is a high speed I/0 controller and Servo Motor interface card. This is what enables the computer to achieve complete control of all 6 axes, including the cam, feed, both servo benders, hook forming station, etc., with no performance degradation. The status and other valuable information about each axis is clearly displayed at all times on the high resolution color monitor. The operator can also change screens at any time, to see computer settings, advanced machine settings, etc. Finally, due to the PC-Based design of this system, it is always easy to add other peripherals, such as printers, RS232 devices, etc. Another important feature of the HY-625 is the use of an easy to read table format for display of programs. This format lets the operator forget all about complex commands and indecipherable messages. The operator simply moves the cursor to wherever they want to input a number into a program, then, using the hand wheel or keypad, enters the appropriate value and moves on. The HY-625's unique "Pause Mode" and "Serial Mode" can be mixed together giving the operator an array of easy to use methods for programming the system. Every function has it's own button, enabling the operator to program any action without having to remember any codes. |
| Servo Bending System |
|
| For extra flexibility, two optional servo benders are available for the HY-625. The servo benders are conveniently mounted on the slides, and can be used to bend wire into extremely complex shapes, and even to coil the wire using the unit as an arbor. By winding in either clock-wise or counter clock-wise directions, the servo benders can reduce quill damage and increase your ability to make complicated springs. The servo benders move in increments of 0.1°, making it posible to control the position of legs and extensions formed with them to previously unheard of levels. |
| Rotating Quill System |
| When making complex springs, wire forms, and double torsion springs, often it is impossible to complete forming due to the quill blocking the wire. The rotating quill was developed specifically to solve this problem. The high-resolution servo motor driving the rotating quill moves in increments of 0.1°, making it even easier for the operator to adjust quill position for optimal performance. |

| Servo Secondary Hook Station |
| Also available with the HY-625 is a secondary hook forming station for making English or German Hooks on tension springs. Control of the hook station is integrated into the heart of the machine, with the CNC controller controlling movement of the hook station's 1.5 kW motor and a pneumatic arm mechanism (powered by the air cylinders) to take the half-finished spring from the machine. Movement of the hook station and the cam system are each independently controlled, enabling the machine's production speed to be adjusted for optimum performance. |
